SafeBLESS
Safe navigation in the western Black Sea
SafeBless is a web service designed for all users who carry out activities in the maritime space, including port administrations, navigators, coast guard, aquaculture, search and rescue services, water administration, tourism operators, environmental NGOs, decision makers and local/regional authorities. Using regional marine data from satellites, in-situ observations and 3D models from the Copernicus Marine Service, the service provides data analysis for maritime spatial planning and high-resolution forecasts of waves and currents for the Romanian EEZ and major port areas.

Metocean Analisys to suport Maritime Spatial Planning
This service allows the users to identify areas where a set of hydrodynamic and water quality parameters (waves, currents, temperature, oxygen, etc.) meet a set of specific criteria (remain between, above or below a set of limits over a defined period of time). This service enables users to identify areas where a set of hydrodynamic and water quality parameters (e.g. waves, currents, temperature, oxygen, salinity etc.) meet a set of specific criteria (remain between, above or below a set of limits over a defined period of time). One of the key benefits for users is the ability to quickly and easily gain a comprehensive overview of the status of different areas in relation to various required uses, based on a statistical analysis of the available data from the past 20 to 30 years.

Operational Service for Safe Navigation and Ports Operations
The service provides high-resolution forecasts of waves and hydrodynamics (currents, temperature, salinity) for the main Romanian seaports, Constanta and Midia. The operational service's modelling system consists of two nested domains with resolutions of 500m and 100m.

Higher-resolution marine current forecasts will enhance marine pollution response and search and rescue operations by more accurately predicting plume paths and spills.
Waves
Forecast of key wave parameters: significant height, period and direction. In-situ data provided by SofarOcean spotters.
Operations
Operational windows based on safety restrictions, under keel clearance conditions, early warnings and alerts, on-demand simulations of a range of potential hazards

Activities
Communication and dissemination activities have been carried out within the project: meetings with stakeholders, participation in national and international conferences, meetings with students and teachers, field trips.
